Hello everyone! Yesterday was a special day for the blog, but I didn’t have time to blog yesterday so im blogging today. Yesterday Oct. 2, was the day I published my first blog post! Thank you to everyone who has supported this year, and I hope we reach another 400 people in the next! To celebrate, im giving a recipe for a delicious apple tart that is perfect for the fall. Enjoy!

Apple Tart Recipe

Ingredients:

3/4 cup flour (90g)

1/4 tsp. baking powder

1/8 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. cinammon

1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)

3-1/2 tbs. (45ml) butter or oil (you will get a crispier crust with oil and a softer crust with butter)

3/4 cup finely diced apples (about 2 small)

1 tsp. additional flour

1 tbs. honey

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Grease a mini muffin tin (or ramekins like I used).

Combine the first six ingredients, completely breaking up the butter until fine pebble like crumbs form.

Press around about two tablespoons of dough firmly into the bottom of each tin, or ramekin.

Stir together remaining ingredients in a bowl, and place a little over one tablespoon of this apple filling on top of each crust.

Divide remaining crumbles—around two teaspoons per muffin tin or ramekin—over the apples, pressing firmly down.

Bake on the center rack, 14 minutes or until crust is golden and mostly set.

Let cool at least five minutes before going around the sides of the pies with a knife.
