Apple Cinnamon Scones

Hey guys! Today I thought I would share a delicious recipe that my family loves for breakfast. These apple cinnamon scones are so good, and who doesnt have apples just lying around this time of year?! Hope you enjoy!

P.S.- I will be blogging a lot more often.

Apple Cinnamon Scones Recipe-

2 cups (240g) all purpose flour

1/4 cup (50g) granulated white sugar

2 tsps. baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 cup (60g) cold butter

1 small apple, shredded

1/2 cup (120ml) milk

Sugar to taste, for the top of the scones

Cinnamon, to taste

Milk, to taste

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).

In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix briefly, then add the cold butter and mix in until crumbly.

Add the shredded apple and milk; mix until a soft dough forms, but do not overmix.

Turn out the dough onto a gently floured board and knead about eight to ten times.

Pat into two 6 inch (15cm) disks.

Place onto two greased baking pans, or pans lined with silicone mats or parchment paper.

If desired, brush the tops of the scones with milk and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar. Score each disk into 6 wedges; chill for 10 minutes.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and risen.

Serve with some tea, jam, or anything you would prefer.

For the butter, use vegan butter (earth balance)

For the milk, any plant milk should work
